Over the last decades, a fabulous variety of synthetic superhydrophobic surfaces have been created, offering unique anti-wetting properties. A significant focus for these has on their stay-dry and self-cleaning However, unless in saturated environment, water droplets lose mass through evaporation this itself is field interest, which illustrated by flood recent studies surface contamination potential transmission infection evaporating sessile during Covid-19 pandemic.
